Getting Started
How do I play Seep?
The full rules, with examples, are in How to Play, also in the app under Settings → How to Play.
Do I need an internet connection?
Only to play online. Games against the computer work offline, any time.
Can iPhone and Android players play together?
Yes. Online games mix players from both.
Is Seep gambling?
No. Seep is played for fun. No real money is staked or won, and there are no cash prizes or coins to buy.
Playing Online
How do I play with friends?
Pick 2 or 4 players and a house rule on the main menu, tap Play Friends, and host a room. Share its 6-character code or invite link; friends tap the link, or choose Play Friends and join with the code. The game starts when every seat is filled.
Games with friends count towards your stats, but not your rating or the leaderboards.
How does Find Players work?
Find Players seats you with other players looking for the same game: the same number of players and house rule. These games are rated.
What if I lose my connection during a game?
Seep reconnects you automatically. If you're still away when your turn runs out, you forfeit and it counts as a loss. Leaving an online game from the pause menu also forfeits it.
Is there a time limit for turns?
Yes, online. If you don't play within 30 seconds, Seep plays a card for you so the game keeps moving.
Can we play again with the same table?
Yes. When a game ends, ask the table for a rematch. Keep going to play a baazi: games add up until one side leads by 100 points.
Rating & Leaderboards
How does my rating work?
Your rating measures your skill from rated online games. Winning raises it and losing lowers it. Beating stronger players gains you more, and losing to weaker ones costs more. New players start provisional while Seep works out their level, then move into a tier: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond.
What are the leaderboards?
Top players by rating, most wins of all time, most wins this week, and most seeps called. You join the rating board once you're out of provisional. Games with friends don't count.
How do I get more avatars?
Reach higher tiers to unlock more. Change yours on your Profile.
Your Account
Do I need to sign up?
No. Seep creates an online account for you automatically. There's no email or password.
How do I keep my stats on a new phone?
Sign in to Game Center (iPhone) or Google Play Games (Android). Seep links your account to it, so signing in with the same Game Center or Google account on a new phone, or after reinstalling, brings your rating and stats back. Without it, your account stays with that install of the app.
I lost my rating and stats
If you were signed in to Game Center or Google Play Games, sign in to the same account again and reopen Seep; your account comes back. An account that was never linked stays with the install that created it, so it can't be moved to a new phone. If you're stuck, email [email protected] with your Seep name.
How do I report a player?
Email [email protected] with the player's name, roughly when you played, and what happened. We can rename offensive names, reset results from cheating, and close accounts that break the Terms of Service.
How do I change my name?
Open your Profile and edit your name (up to 20 characters). Until you do, Seep uses your Game Center or Google Play Games name.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Delete account. It deletes your account, stats, rating and leaderboard places for good. Games against the computer aren't affected. You can also request it by email.
Ads & Tips
Why are there ads?
Ads pay for Seep's development and its online servers, so the game can stay free for everyone.
How do I remove ads?
Leave any tip in Settings → Tip Jar. Every tip removes all ads for good.
I tipped, but I'm seeing ads on my new phone
Tap Restore Purchases in the Tip Jar while signed in to the same Apple or Google account you tipped with.
Can I get a refund on a tip?
Tips are paid through Apple or Google, so refunds go through them: reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store, or your order history in Google Play.
Help & Feedback
I found a bug, or have an idea
We'd love to hear it. In the app, go to Settings → Get Help; it adds your device and app version to the email, which helps us track bugs down. Or email [email protected].
How else can I support Seep?
Leave a review on the App Store or Google Play, and invite your friends to a game.
